On October 26, a sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs and Protection of Human Rights moderated by Gevorg Kostanyan was held. The legislative package on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Constitutional Law the RA Electoral Code, on Amending the RA Constitutional Law on Referendum, on Making Addenda to the RA Code on Administrative Infringements and on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Defence authored by the RA NA deputies Naira Zohrabyan, Gevorg Petrosyan, Lena Nazaryan, Alen Simonyan and Vahe Enfiajyan.

The co-author of the legislative proposal Gevorg Petrosyan touched upon the fundamental amendments.

In his speech Gevorg Kostanyan proposed his colleagues to vote for it.

The RA First Deputy Minister of Justice Artur Hovhannisyan presented the recommendation of the executive body.

As a result of the debates, the Committee endorsed the legislative package which was included in the agenda of October 29 NA extraordinary sitting.
